77' MEMORANDUM To: Re: THE GOVERNOR CLEMENTS COMMITTEE. 807 Brazos, Suite 1002 Austin, Texas 78701 Phone: (512) 474-6912 Governor Clements im Franci State Republican Party June 14, 1979 I learned yesterday (Wednesday, June 13) that the State Republican Party has sent out invitations to all Presidential candidates for a fund raiser to be held in Dallas sometime in September. The invitations were mailed Friday, June 8th. Yesterday, I contacted Wayne Thorburn and told him this must be coordinated in advance and to send me a complete list of all heir upcoming fund raisers. As to this event, is there anything you want me to do? Since the invitations are already out to the Presidential candidates, the only sure way to stop the event is to call them direct or to have Chet Upham cancel the event. 44AA1-. 44444, 1•4%-kr tweb LL AoksuaiL tetwobArts1%. c,..4 4111611111"1111111111.1.
