OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. March 5, 1981 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today named John E. Birdwell, Jr. of Lubbock to be a member of the Board of Regents of Texas Tech University for a term extending to January 31, 1987. Birdwell, 51, replaces Robert TPe Pfluger of San Angelo, whose term expired. Birdwell heads a farming, ranching and feedlot operation. He is a former student at Texas Tech University. Governor Clements also named Harold D. Rogers of Wichita Falls to be a member of the Board of Regents of the Midwestern State University for a term extending to February 25, 1982. Rogers, 51, will fill the unexpired term of Frank J. Douthitt of Henrietta, who resigned. Rogers is an attorney. He received a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and a law degree from the University of Denver.
