OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. August 22, 1980 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of Judge Donnie Carriker of Jayton, Judge K.P. Bryant of Coldspring, Col. Robert Augustinus of San Angelo, Dr. Gary Cook of Waco, Col. Arden Lewis of San Antonio, Dr.Barbara Gail House of Lubbock, and Mrs. Bert Kruger Smith of Austin to be members of the State Advisory Committee to the Governor's Committee on Aging. Judge Carriker, 41, is Kent County Judge. He will serve a one year term to expire September 30, 1981. Judge Bryant, 58, is San Jacinto County Judge. Col. Auaustinus, 71, is executive director of Rio Concho Manor. Dr.Cook,29,is a lecturer in gerontology and assistant chaplain at Baylor University. Col. Lewis, 66, is a retired Army colonel. Dr. House, 44, is executive director of Southwestern Gerontological Institute at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. They will serve two year terms to expire September 30, 1982. Mrs. Smith, 64, is executive associate of the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health at The University of Texas. She will serve a three year term to expire September 30, 1983.
