Bacon to the Metric System Advisory Council, the reappointment of Vittorio K. Argento to the Texas Air Control Board, the appointment of Captain George D. Doherty as a branch pilot for the Ports of Galveston County, and the appointment of Donald F. Willett and Captain E.S. Drake as branch pilots for the Brazos-Santiago Pass, Bar, and Tributaries of Cameron County.
OlokICE OF WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. September 25, 1979 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of Carolyn R. Bacon of Dallas to the Metric System Advisory Council. Bacon, 42, is Assistant to the President of the Dallas Market Center. She will replace Albert M. Biedenharn of San Antonio, whose term expired. Bacon will serve a two-year term to expire August 29, 1981. Governor Clements reappointed Vittorio K. Argento of Duncanville to serve a six -year term, expiring September 1, 1985, on the Texas Air Control Board. Argento , 42, is a visiting assistant professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. The Governor also announced these appointments : Captain George D. Doherty of Galveston to serve as a branch pilot for the Ports of Galveston County to be effective August 1, 1979. Captain Doherty will serve a four-year term to expire August 1, 1983. Captain Donald F. Willett of Brownsville to the position of branch pilot for the Brazos-Santiago Pass, Bar, and Tributaries, Cameron County to be effective August 2, 1979. Captain Willett is being reappointed and will serve a four-year term to expire August 2, 1983. Captain E.S. Drake of Brownsville to serve as a branch pilot for the Brazos -Santiago Pass, Bar, and Tributaries, Cameron County to be effective August 22, 1979. Captain Drake is being reappointed to serve afour-year term expiring August 22, 1983.
