OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. June 17, 1982 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of Jack E. Benson of Fort Worth to the Board of Trustees of the Texas County and District Retirement System for a term extending to December 31, 1983. Benson, 48, is Tarrant County Auditor. He attended Baylor University undergraduate and Ohio State University graduate school. He is President of the Texas Association of County Auditors. He will fill the unexpired term of Judge J.C. Duvall of Fort Worth, who is deceased. The Governor also reappointed Edward L. Protz of Galveston to the Texas Commission on the Arts for a six-year term extending to August 31, 1987. Protz, 51, is President of Edward L. Protz Associates,Inc.,i a planning and development consulting firm. He received a bachelor's deqree from William Jewel in Liberty, Missouri and master's degree from The University of Texas.
