Office of Governor William P. Clements, Jr. June 26, 1979 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of: John Green of Odessa, Ector County District Attorney, to the Criminal Justice Division Advisory Board for a one-year term to expire March 12, 1980. Elbert Rudolph Day of Dallas and Mrs. Marcelyn Marie Darden of Houston to the Advisory Council on Community Affairs for two-year terms each to expire Jan. 31, 1981. Mr. Day is being reappointed and Mrs. Darden is replacing Pedro G. Rodriquez of Sinton, whose term expired. Mr. Netum A. Steed of Wichita Falls to the board of directors of the Brazos River Authority for a six-year term to expire Feb. 1, 1985. Mr. Steed will be filling the unexpired term of D.J. "Jack" McCarty of Glen Rose, who is deceased. Governor Clements also sent to the Secretary of State's Office the names of 23 persons appointed to the Governor's Advisory Committee on Education for terms to expire June 7, 1980. Mrs. Peggy C. Coghlan of Longview has been added to the committee since the first announcement.
