May 15, 1981 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today named Mary Elizabeth Logan Cree of Abilene to be a member of the Commission on Jail Standards for a six-year term extending to January 31, 1987. Mrs. Crec, 50, is on the board of directors of First State Bank of Abilene and a member of the Mental Advisory Conmittcc to the Texas Department of MITAR. She attended Texas Tech University. Mrs. Croc will replace Steve Suttle of Abilene, who resigned. Governor Clements also named James Jefferson Gibson of Guthrie to the Board of Directors of the Brazos River Authority for a term extending to February 1, 1985. Gibson, 57, will replace John E. Birdwell, II of Muleshoe, who resigned. Gibson manages the 6666 Ranch. He attended Texas Christian University. The Governor announced the reappointment of John W. Hancock, Sr. of El Campo to the Lower Colorado River Authority for a six-year term extending to January 1, 1987. Hancock, 63, is president of El Campo Rice Milling Company. He attended The University of Texas.
