OkTICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. December 18, 1981 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following appoin Joseph Maurice Nuessle of Midland to the Municipal Retirement System Board of Trustees for a term extending to December 31, 1984. Nuessle, 61, is Midland City Attorney. He received bachelor's and law degrees from The University of Texas. Nuessle will fill the unexpired term of Jerry H. Hodge of Amarillo, who resigned. John R. Armstrong of Bonham to the Board of Directors of the Red River Authority of Texas for a six-year term extending to August 11, 1987. Armstrong, 51, is president and chief executive officer of Bonham State Bank. He attended East Texas State University and Southern Methodist University graduate school. He will replace Jim W. Sowell of Quanah, whose term expired. Tyler A. Baker, D.C. of Take Jackson and Robert E. Hartong, D.C. of San Antonio to the State Board of Chirooractic Examiners for six-year terms extending to August 3, 1987. Dr. Baker, 49, is a chiropractor and director of the First National Bank of Lake Jackson. He will replace Dr. John Paul Johnston of Bellaire, whose term expired. Dr. Hartong, 66, is a chiropractor and will replace Dr. S.M. Elliott of Dayton, whose term expired. E.C.A. (Ed) Runge of College Station and Blake Williams, Jr. of San Antonio to the State Seed and Plant Board for two-year terms extending to October 6, 1983. Runge, 47, is Professor and Head of the Department of Soil and Crop Sciences at Texas A&M University. Williams, 54, is president and owner of Douglass W. King Company wholesale seed and plant firm. He is past president of the Texas Seedmen's Association. Both are being reappointed to the board.
