Clements Jr. April 4, 1979 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of Mary Clair Hill of Kingsville and Judge Jon Lindsay of Spring to the Texas Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations. Mrs. Hill, 52, is a city commissioner in Kingsville. She will replace Mayor Coke L. Gage of Decatur, whose term expired. Lindsay, 43, is the Harris County Judge. He will replace Raymon Thompson of Graham, who is no longer eligible. Both Hill and Lindsay will serve six year terms, expiring September 1, 1983. Governor Clements also announced these appointments and sent them to the Senate: V. W. Lehmann of Kingsville to the Texas Conservation Foundation. Lehmann, a ranch manager and wildlife consultant, will replace L.H. True of Wimberley, whose term expired. Lehmann will serve a six year term, expiring January 31, 1985. William Franklin Nicol, 67, of Dallas, to the Metric System Advisory Council. Nicol, president of the Nicol Scale Company, will replace David Weeks of Austin, who resigned.
