OFFICE OF WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. October 16, 1979 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following appointments: George Kozmetsky of Austin to the Southern Regional Education Board for a four-year term to expire June 30, 1983. Kozmetsky, 62, is Dean of the Graduate School of Business at University of Texas at Austin. He will replace Dr. John E. Gray of Beaumont, whose term expired. Millard H. Ruud, 62, of Austin to the Commission on Uniform State Laws for a six-year term to expire September 30, 1985. Ruud, executive director of Association of American Law Schools, is being reappointed to the commission. Jacques Kiere, 46, of Dallas to the Crime and Narcotics Advisory Commission. Kiere, planning and evaluation officer for the Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, will serve a two-year term to expire January 31, 1981. He will replace Glen R. English of Houston, whose term expired. Glynn Morgan of Edinburg, John Northcutt of Alamo and Dean H. Wooldridge, M.D. to each serve a two-year term, expiring April 30, 1981, on the Rio Grande Valley Pollution Control Authority Board of Directors. Morgan, 41, is an associate professor at Pan American University. He will replace Graham McCullough of Harlingen, whose term expired. Northcutt,43, is president of Alamo Bank of Texas and will replace Earl Van Mitchell of Mercedes, whose term expired. Dr. Wooldridge, 50, practices general medicine and will replace Garland L. Smith of Weslaco, whose term expired. A
