OEFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. October 27, 1981 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following appointments: Ruben M. Torres of Austin as Chairman and Dr. George G. Killinger of Huntsville as Vice Chairman of the Board of Pardons and Paroles. Rita Clements, Hilary Doran and Jim Sanders, all of Austin, to the Capitol Centennial Corrniittcc. Doran,45, is executive assistant in the Governor's Office and Sanders, 48, is director of the Legislative Reference Library. The committee will coordinate a ceremony to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of construction of the Capitol Building. The event will be held at the Capitol on February 1, 1982, in conjunction with the Texas Sesquicentennial celebration. Virginia Marie Bauman of Irving and Judy Taylor of Yorktown to the State Board of Pharmacy. Mrs. Bauman is vice president of Leaf of Dallas. Mrs. Taylor owns a farm and ranch supply fiLm. Mrs. Bauman will serve a term extending to August 31, 1987. Mrs. Taylor's term will extend to August 31, 1985. Joseph E. Gardner, Jr. of Corpus Christi and Mary Ellen Jericho of Dallas to the State Board of Dental Examiners. Gardner, 32, is vice president of Citizens State Bank and will serve a term extending to May 10, 1985. Mrs. Jericho is a member of the Women's Council of Dallas County, Inc., the Dallas Chamber of Commerce education and cultural arts committee and numerous other councils and committees. She will serve a term extending to May 10, 1983.
