This individual would be honored as a "Good Neighbor" in the State of Texas. The Commission would identify and select the "Good Neighbor" from entries submitted from throughout the State. The first award has been tentatively set to be given in 1983, if the idea is approved. RECOMMENDATIONS This type of recognition is in line with your focus on the importance of individual initiative. The Good Neighbor Commission is requesting that you consider presenting the "Good Neighbor of the Year" award during a specially-planned function /4e5Fgree / / Disagree and that the award consist of a citation from you and the Commission and an appropriate plaque or medal. /ee /_____ / Disagree The Commissioners would like to have your participation in this event and have put this idea on hold until they receive your approval.
