TCXAS At the April meeting of the National Governors Association, we agreed to provide you with more timely information on the resettlement of Cuban and Haitian entrants in your state. This is to inform you of the procedures we are initiating to provide you this information. Beginning the week of April 13, we will notify you by phone the day before we expect to resettle Cuban or Haitian entrants in your state. Information provided will include: o Number of Cubans and Haitians expected to be resettled - o City of resettlement o Sponsoring agency Once a week you will also receive a written summary of actual resettle— ments in your state. No report will be sent unless placements have been made during the reporting period. The regional director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement will receive identical weekly reports for each of the states in the region. Initially, we will only report information on Fort Chaffee resettlements, but this will be expanded as soon as posssible to include data from all of our sites.
