The 984 letters you received from area children will be on the table in the reception room. 2. There will be 13 children, ranging in age from 6 to 11 (1st grade to 5th grade 3. Each child is accompanied by at least one parent. Also, the principals of their schools (Westwood Elementary and Cline Primary) will be there. 4. One child will serve as an initial spokesman for the group, stating their concerns to you. You can then make some comments on your views of the problem, and possibly open up a short dialogue with them. Press will be present. 5. Jim Francis says you have promised to make a political trip to the area within 6 months, and suggests you state your hope to visit their school to the group. 6. There will be two Texas flags that flew over the Capitol on the table for presentation by you to the two schools. 7. You are free to show them your office if you wish. After you depart... 1. The group will receive a detailed briefing on what we are doing about the flooding from myself and Bob Lansford of DES in the Speaker's Committee Room. 2. Around 11:30 the group will be given a special tour of the Capitol. 3. After lunch, the group will take a special tour of the DPS Building and DES headquarters.
