It is my understand- ing that you stated that it was your understanding from news stories that my supervisors were not entirely happy with the — job I had been doing. Attached to this letter are: (1) the only news stories about my resignation that I am aware of; and (2) letters from each of my supervisors indicating their percep- tions of my work. I believe it is obvious from a review of these documents that your understanding about my competence was unfounded. Unless you continue to maintain that your under- standing was correct, I respectfully request your acknowledg- ment that the understanding you had about the quality of my work and/or my supervisors' perceptions of my work was incorrect.
