OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. December 16, 1980 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced appointment of James W. (Bill) Lauderback of Austin as Deputy Director of the Governor's Budget and Planning Office. The appointment is effective immediately. Lauderback, 29, was executive assistant to Ed Vetter, Governor Clements' chief energy advisor, June 1979 - March 1980, when he became Deputy Director of the Texas Energy and Natural Resources Advisory Council. He earlier served as a financial manager for Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and as executive assistant to State Senator Bill Meier of Euless. Tauderback received bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin.
