OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS,JR. April 16, 1979 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the nomination of Ray A. Barnhart of Pasadena to Commission. Barnhart, 51, was named to a six-year term on the commission. He will succeed Reagan Houston of San Antonio. Now serving as chairman of the State Republican Executive Committee, Barnhart was long associated with a Pasadena construction firm which laid underground utilities. He is now an agent with Barmore Insurance Agency of Houston. Barnhart said he would resign his :Position as State GOP Chairman on confirmation to the Commission.
