OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. January 29, 1981 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today asked the Senate to confirm the following appointments: Brigadier General Belisario D. J. Flores of San Antonio to be Assistant Adjutant General for Air and Brigadier General Willard Dimock Hill, Jr. of Austin to be Assistant Adjutant General for Army. Both are being reappointed for two- yedr terms to expire January 16, 1983. Flores, 54, has served in the Texas Air National Guard for 34 years. Hill, 55, has served in the Texas Army National Guard for 38 years. Mrs. Albert G. Hill; 65, of Dallas to be a member of the Texas Historical Commission for a six-year term to expire January 1, 1987. Mrs. Hill will replace Jack C. Kellam of Van, whose term expired. She was a founding member of the Dallas County Heritage Society and is active in several civic associations. Charles E. Haddock of Dallas to be a member of the Metric System Advisory Council for a term to expire August 29, 1981. Haddock, 49, will replace Francis N. O'Bryan of Houston, whose term expired. Haddock is business manager of a drivers and warehouse workers labor organization. Douglas Hawthorne of Dallas and Hugh Rushing, Jr. of Austin to be members of the Texas Board of Irrigators for six-year terms to expire January 31, 1987. Hawthorne, 63, is executive vice president of Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Rushing, 45, owns a lawn sprinkler installations firm. Both are being reappointed to the board.
