OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. April 19, 1979 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today nominated three as new members of the Texas Industrial Commission. Clements named Lewis E. Bracy Jr. of Uvalde, James H. Simms of Amarillo and Sidney M. Wieser of Lampasas. Bracy succeeds Eloy Centeno of San Antonio; Simms succeeds Mario Yzaguirre of Brownsville and Wieser succeeds William A. Porter of Terrell. Bracy, 54, is president of the First State Bank of Uvalde. Simms,38, is president of an electric fixtures sales firm. Wieser, 61, is a former member of the Lampasas city council and school board. All three will serve six-year terms extending to February 15,1985. Governor Clements reappointed A.W. Cullum III of Dallas and B.C. Lively of Livingston to the Board of Directors of Trinity River Authority. Cullum is an independent oilman. Lively is in the real estate business. They were named to six-year terms extending to March 15, 1985. The governor also reappointed Dr. Carlos D. Godinez of McAllen,41, to the State Board of Medical Examiners and Dr. Denver Fred Wendorf of Dallas, 54, to the Antiquities Committee. Dr. Godinez is a family physician. Dr. Wendorf is a professor of prehistory in the Southern Methodist University Department of Anthropology. Dr. Godinez was named to a six-year term extending to April 13, 1985, and Dr. Wendorf to a four-year term expiring January 19, 1983.
