OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. July 23, 1982 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of Carroll Sullivan of Georgetown to the Finance Commission of Texas for a term extending to February 1, 1985. Sullivan, 34, is Chairman of the Board of the First National Bank in Georgetown. He is also Chairman of the Board of First National Bank in San Marcos, Chairman of the Board of Citizens State Bank in Bastrop and Vice Chairman of the Board of Cove State Bank in Copperas Cove. Sullivan attended Texas Tech University and will fill the unexpired term of George S. Cone of Fulton, who resigned. The Governor named William Prince of Lufkin to the Private Industry Council for a term extending to September 24, 1933. Prince, 45, is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of First City National Bank in Lufkin. He attended North Texas State University and will replace Gregory R. Hidden of Arlington, who resigned. Dr. C. Robert Kemble of Beaumont was named to the Southern Regional Education Board for a four-year term extending to June 30, 1986. Dr. Kemble, 56, is President of Tarrar University. He received a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a master's degree from University of Pennsylvania and PhD from George Washington University. Dr. Kemble is being reappointed to the board.
