February '20,1981 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following reappointments to the Texans War Against Drugs Committee for one-year terms to expire February 20, 1982: H. Ross Perot of Dallas to continue serving as chairman of the ccffnittce. Perot, 50, is chairman of the board and president of Electronic Data Systems. Bob G. Bailey of Abilene. Bailey, 50, is president of Bailey Bridge Company. William B. Blakemore, II of Midland. Blakemore, 58, is president of an oil and ranching business. Othal E. Brand of McAllen. Brand, 61, is chairman of the board of a fruit and vegetable producer/processor firm. Dr. Leighton Farrell of Dallas. Dr. Farrell, 50, is pastor of Highland Park Methodist Church. Hayden W. Head, Sr. of Corpus Christi. Head, 66, is an attorney. Thomas W. Luce, III of Dallas. Luce, 40, is an attorney. General William V. MCBride of San Antonio. McBride, 58, is a retired air force general. Dr. Abner V. McCall of Waco. Dr. McCall, 65, is president of Baylor University. Bill C. Perryman of Athens. Perryman, 54, is president of an oil and gas production company. Whittenburg, III of Amarillo. Whittenburg, 48, is in ranching, oil and gas, and investments business. Thomas J. Marquez of Dallas. Marquez, 42, is director of Electronic Data Systems. Governor Clements also appointed Mrs. Beth Allen, 32, of Houston, Joe H. Reynolds, 59, a Houston attorney, and Richard Salwen, 38, of Dallas, assistant general counsel for Electronic Data Systems to serve on the committee for one-year terms to expire February 20, 1982.
