May 5 through May 8, 1988 has been designated as the Capitol Centennial Celebration. The Celebration will have a cornucopia of events reflecting the integrity and historical significance of such a grand occasion. As Chairman, I would like to extend an invitation to you from the Capitol Centennial Committee to speak at the official ceremony, twelve o'clock noon, May 7 on the front steps of the Texas Capitol. Speeches by the Lieu- tenant Governor, William P. Hobby, Speaker of the House, Gibson D. Lewis, along with the dedication of the National Historic Landmark plaque, and a keynote address will be ircluded.
