December 16, 1982 Mr. Edwin L. Cox 3800 First National Bank Building Dallas, Texas, 75202 Dear Ed: Enclosed is a letter dated December 13, 1982, which I received fron ?Ir. William C. Gamble, Scout Executive, Circle 10 Council, Dallas. As a further explanation to this letter you should realize that for the older boys attending the Clements Scout Reservation during the summer they have initiated the idea of a trek on horse- back which would take them from Scout Camp to the State Wildlife Refuge. These boys would be 14 years old, Plus or minus, and would have counsellor supervision with them. They would be in relatively small numbers and would be passing through my proPerty, probably part of Koon Kreek, and your property to the State Wild- life Refuge. As I understand it, Ed, they would not be camping on your property or on my property. It would be a one-day nass through from the Scout Camp to the State property where they would overnight. I think this is a good idea and I an going to give them Permission to pass through my place, and I hope that you will also allow theta to do this. Think about it and we will then discuss it in more detail. Best regards! Sincerely, William P. Clements, Jr. Governor WPC,Jr.:jh
