May 15, 1980 For immediate release: Gdvernor Bill Clements today announced the following appointments: Corpus Christi City Councilman David Diaz to the Texas Judicial Council for a six-year term to expire July 1, 1985. Diaz, 48, is an attorney in private practice and will replace Charles Griggs of Sweetwater, whose term expired. James Earl Kellum of Arlington to the Texas Mining Council for a term to expire May 8, 1981. Kellum, 44, is owner, chairman of the board and president of Delta Manufacturing and Sales. He will fill the unexpired two-year term of Rep. Tom Craddick of Midland, who resigned. Dr. Ruth Y. Ackers, D.P.M. of Abilene to the Texas State Board of Podiatry Examiners for a six-year term to expire July 10, 1985. Dr. Ackers, 66, is a self-employed podiatrist and will replace Dr. Joseph C. Littrell of Waco, whose term expired. Miss Louise Fargher of Fort Worth to the Advisory Council on Youth Camp Safety for a two-year term to expire December 1, 1981. Miss Fargher, 65, will represent the Camp Fire Girls and is being reappointed to the council.
