OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. June 8, 1979 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today reappointed H.B. Zachry Jr. of San Antonio to a new six-year term on the Texas Board of Corrections. Zachry, 45, president of H.B. Zachry Construction Company, was nominated for a term extending to February 15, 1985. Governor Clements named District Attorney Oliver S. Kitzman of Hempstead Judge of the 155th Judicial District (Austin, Fayette and Waller Counties). Kitzman, 44, succeeds Judge Paul Huser of Schulenburg who retired. He will serve through the next general election. The Governor selected Charles David Houston of Bellville, Austin County Attorney, to succeed Kitzman as 155th District Attorney . Houston, 62, will serve through the next general election. Governor Clements appointed Kenton Lloyd Smith, 29, County Judge of Blanco County, to the Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Memorial Naval Museum Commission. Smith succeeds Gordon Sauer of Fredericksburg whose term expired. He will serve a six-year term expiring January 31, 1985. The Governor designated William R. Keener of Brownwood as vice chairman of the Texas Health Facilities Commission. Keener was named to the commission earlier this week.
