TEXAS ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES ADVISORY COUNCIL 411 WEST 13TH STREET, AUSTIN, TEXAS 78701 April 17, 1980 MEMORANDUM TO Linda Howell and Martha Alwort FROM Bill Lauderback, 7 SUBJECT: TENRAC Advisory Committees .011.00 Linda, I have recently been working with the Lt. Governor's staff to put together some names of candidates for the four additional TENRAC Advisory Committees. As you will recall, we have appointed Chairmen to the following committees: COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN Petroleum and Natural Gas Michael Halbouty Nuclear Dr. Bill Fisher Agriculturally Derived Fuels Commissioner Reagan Brown Also, Ed Cox has requested that he not be named as the Chairman of the Coal and Lignite Committee. As an alternative, the Lt. Governor has recommended that Tom Craddick (who is also a member of TENRAC) be named to head the Coal Committee. Craddick does have some expertise in coal as he sponsored the Strip Mining legislation during the last session. If Tobin and the Governor have no problem with Tom Craddick heading up the Coal and Lignite Committee, I will inform the Lt. Governor and we will prepare a letter for the Co-Chairmen's signature designating him as such. I have attached copies of the proposed committee memberships for the remaining four committees. Please take a look at these and let know if you have any problems with any of the proposed candidates and any individuals whom Tobin would like to additionally recommend. Co-Chairmen: William P. Clements, Jr. William P. Hobby Governor Lieutenant Governor Vice-Chairman: Bill Clayton Speaker of the House Executive Director: Milton L. Holloway
