Texas Workers' Compensation Advisory Committee (03 This committee will consist of 12 members appointed by the Governor so that three committee members shall be appointed from each of the following four constituent groups: 1. employers who are subscribers as that term is defined in Article 8309, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, as amended, from recommendations made by the Texas Association of Business, its successors, and other inter- ested employer groups; 2. employees who are insured under the provisions of Title 130, Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, 1925, from recommendations made by leaders of organized labor; 3. insurers which write workers' compensation insurance in Texas, from recommendations made by the Association of Fire and Casualty Companies in Texas (AFACT) and other duly licensed insurance advisory organizations; 4. attorneys who represent claimants before the Industrial Accident Board, from recommendations made by the Texas Trial Lawyers Association or its successor organization. The chairman of the Industrial Accident Board is an exofficio member of the committee and shall preside at meetings of the committee. The personnel of the Industrial Accident Board shall serve as the staff of the committee.
