Letter from John H. Hannah, Jr. to David Dean regarding county commissioners with attached newspaper article, April 7, 1981
-
Description
-
Letter from John H. Hannah, Jr. to David Dean regarding county commissioners with attached newspaper article. John Hannah advises David Dean of an article The Dallas Morning News published and advises him that the state Attorney General "should be given authority to investigate and/or prosecute this type of activity." The newspaper article written by Bill Deener, April 7, 1981, concerns the lack of enthusiasm county and district attorneys have with prosecuting county commissioners who are dually serving as road commissioners, which is against state law. Governor Clements annotates the letter and advises Dean to "table and discuss in July 1981."
