Guest to the Board of Directors for the Red River Authority of Texas, and Tony Garrett to the State Board of Barber Examiners.
at.ICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. December 22, 1982 For Immediate Release: Governor Clements today announced the following appointments: Frank N. Boggus of Harlingen, Sam D. Millsap of San Antonio and John W. (Bill) Langley of Stamford to the State Commission for the Blind, effective January 1. All are being reappointed for six-year terms extending to January 1, 1989. Boggus, 54, owns a Ford auto dealership. He received a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University. He serves as a public member. MLillsap, 61, is retired and State Director to the White House Conference on Handicapped Individuals. He serves as a blind member of the commission. Langley, 58, is District Manager of Congressman Charles Stenholm's office. Judge Ray L. McKim of Odessa to the Texas Judicial Council for a six-year taut' extending to January 1, 1989. The appointment is effective January 1. Judge McKim, 58, is Judge of the 161st District Court in Ector County. He received bachelor's and law degrees from The University of Texas and will replace Judge Ross E. Doughty, Jr. of Uvalde, whose term expired. Buck Wynne of Dallas to the Texas State Board of Podiatry Examiners for a term extending to July 10, 1985. He will serve as a public member of the board. Wynne, 26, is an associate in the law office of Weekly, Gray & McKinney. He graduated from Tulane undergraduate school and attends Southern Methodist University law school. Austin T. Guest of Clarksville to the Board of Directors for the Red River Authority of Texas for a six-year term extending to August 11, 1987. Guest, 68, is an attorney and will replace John Hicks Anderson of Denison, whose term expired. Guest received a law degrcc from La Salle Extension University. He is State Director of the Red River Valley Association and Director of the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce. Tony Garrett of Dallas to the State Board of Barber Examiners for a term extending to January 31, 1987. Garrett, 45, will fill the unexpired term of Jim Assad of Houston, who is no longer eligible to serve.
