OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. March 3, 1980 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following appointments: Abner V. McCall of Waco to the Education Commission of the States for a term at the pleasure of the Governor. McCall, 64, is president of Baylor University and is being reappointed to the commission. Katherine Crumley of Shepherd to the Board of Directors of the Texas Housing Agency for a term to expire January 31, 1985. Mrs. Crumley, 60, is a librarian at Shepherd High School and will fill Place 9 - a person with experience in housing problems of persons and families of low income and families of moderate income. Joseph C. Garza of McAllen to the Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation for a term to expire January 31, 1985. Garza, 46, is president of Valley Federal Savings & Loan. Robert E. Flaherty of Austin and Ray Vaughn of Austin to the Texas Committee on Purchases of Blind-made Products and Services for terms to expire January 31, 1981. Flaherty, 48, is director of the equipment and procurement division of the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. Vaughn, 49, is director of facilities of the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. They are being appointed to new positions on the committee. #
