January 9, 1980 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following appointments: Frank Junell of San Angelo to the State Conservatorship Board for a term to expire January 31, 1981. Junell, 65, is chairman of the board of Central National Bank. Edward H. Wicker of Beeville to the Teacher Retirement System of Texas State Board of Trustees for a six-year term to expire August 31, 1985. Wicker, 40, is a rancher and independent oil operator and is being reappointed to the board. Mrs. Dixie Clem of Plano to the Statewide Health Coordinating Council for a two-year term to expire October 21, 1981. Mrs. Clem,49, is secretary of the Republican Party of Collin County. She will replace Mrs. Ruthmary T. White of Dallas, whose term expired. Calvin Dudley of San Antonio and Robert Spears of Midland to the Texas Board of Land Surveyin9 for six-year terms to expire January 31, 1985. Dudley, 48, is president of Cal-Tom Construction Inc. He will replace Bennis W. Meeks of Center, whose term expired. Spears, 37, is an attorney with Lynch, Chapple, Allday & Aldridge law firm. He will replace Irving H. Webb of Buchanan Dam, whose term expired. David Allan Hardison of Fredericksburg to the Texas Board of Physical Therayy Examiners for a six-year term to expire January 31, 1981. Hardison,37, is director of physical therapy at Hill Country Memorial Hospital. He will fill the unexpired term of J.D. Wendeborn of Laredo, who resigned. Dr. Richard Reese of Temple and Mrs. Alice Scruggs of El Paso to the Texas Board of Examiners in the Fitting and Dispensin9 of Hearing Aids for six-year terms to expire December 31, 1985. Dr. Reese, 40, is head of the audiology department at Scott & White Hospital. He will replace A.G. Small of San Antonio, whose term expired. Mrs. Scruggs, 51, owns Rio Grande Hearing Aid Service, Inc. and will replace Charles H. Knox of Fort Worth, whose term expired. Raymond B. Bean of Dallas to the Advisory Council on Youth Camp_ Safety for a two-year term to expire December 1, 1981. _ _ _ Bean, 62, is executive director of YMCA-Camp Grady Spruce and is being reappointed to the council.
