• OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. For Immediate Release: May 16, 1979 Governor Bill Clements today nominated Henry C. Beck of Dallas as a member of the Texas Board of Corrections. Beck, 61, is chairman of the board of the Beck general contracting company. He will succeed Mark McLaughlin of San Angelo for a six-year term extending to February 15, 1985. The Governor reappointed Robert T. Mattox of Crockett to the board of directors of the Trinity River Authority of Texas. Mattox, 59, heads a credit reporting service. He was named to a new term extending to March 15, 1985. At the same time, Governor Clements appointed Roy Barton Sinclair of Lufkin, 58, and Mrs. Audrey Bruse of Amarillo to the Board of Tax Assessor Examiners. Sinclair, tax assessor-collector for the City of Lufkin, will replace Norman P. Register of Dallas whose term expired. Mrs. Bruse, 64,Randall County tax assessor-collector, will succeed Ray M. Cornett of Angleton. Bruse and Sinclair were named to terms extending to March 1, 1985. ##
