Moore to the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations.
Office of Governor William P. Clements, Jr. March 5, 1982 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today announced appointment of six Austin residents to state regulatory boards and commissions. The new appointees are: Joe Perrone to the Texas Real Estate Commission. Douglas English to the Governor's Commission on Physical Fitness. Geraldine Tucker to the State Board of Dental Examiners. Eleazar S. Lucio to the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. Louis S. Parker, Jr. to the Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. Yvonne M. Moore to the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations. Parker, 60, a retired Navy veteran, is executive secretary of the Knights of Columbus. He has written and lectured extensively in the area of alcoholism. Perrone, 66, is the owner of a real estate firm. English, 28, was an all American football player at The University of Texas and an all-professional lineman with the Detroit Lions in 1979 and 1982. Lucio, 34, is a vice president of Texas Commerce Bank of Austin and served on the City Board of Adjustments. Mrs. Tucker, 33, is president of an educational research and management consulting firm and has been active in civic affairs. Mrs. Moore, 29, is a vocatiorel nursing instructor at Austin Community College. Mrs. Tucker, Mrs. Moore, Parker and Lucio were selected to serve as public members of their respective agencies. All except Lucio were named for six-year terms extending to 1987. Lucio was appointed to succeed Michael Lancaster Wilson of Galveston County for a term expiring January 31, 1985. "All of these appointees are highly qualified and will perform their duties in an outstanding manner," Governor Clements said. "I commend them on their willingness to serve the State."
