OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. January 24, 1980 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following appointments: Salvadore Canchola of Brownsville, Doyle Stuckey of Houston, Bookman Peters of Bryan, James P. Ritter of Beaumont and Wade T. Nowlin of Fort Worth to the Texas Housing A2ency. Canchola, 35, is executive director of the Housing Authority of the City of Brownsville. Stuckey, 51, is owner and president of Doyle Stuckey Homes. Both will serve a term to expire January 31, 1981. Peters, 45, is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of City National Bank. He will serve a term to expire January 31, 1983. Ritter, 54, is president of Rimcon, Inc. and Ritter Lumber Co.,Inc. and will serve a term to expire January 31, 1985. Nowlin, 49, is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Nowlin Mortgage Co. and will serve a six-year term to expire January 31, 1985. Colonel James B. Adams of Austin to the Criminal Justice Division ^ Advisory Board for a term to expire March 12, 1980. Colonel Adams, 53, director of the Department of Public Safety, will replace Colonel Wilson E. Speir of Austin, who retired as Director of the DPS. Mrs. Ward N. Adkins of Houston to the San Jacinto Historical Advisory Board for a six-year term to expire September 1, 1985. Mrs. Adkins, 59, will replace Mrs. Ann Paulus Smith of Huntsville, whose term expired.
