OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. December 6, 1979 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today announced appointment of Douglas Owen Brown of Dallas as executive assistant to the Governor. Brown, 54, founder, former president and chairman of the board of Owen Laboratories in Dallas, has been serving as Governor Clements' special assistant for intergovernmental relations. He is volunteering his services to the State. Brown's primary responsibility will be coordinating efforts of the Governor's senior staff.
