March 25, 1981 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today named John Kenneth Dixon of Sunrise Beach to the Board of Directors of the Lower Colorado River Authority for a six-year term extending to January 1, 1987. Dixon, 65, is retired . He is past president of the National Insulation Contractors Association. He attended Fenlay Engineering College in Missouri. Dixon replaces Milton C. Dalchau of Llano, whose term expired. Governor Clements also announced the reappointment of Dr. John W. Davis of Dallas to the Texas Board of Optometry for a six-year term extending to January 31, 1987. Dr. Davis, 57, graduated from Southern College of Optometry. Governor Clements named Kenneth Irwin of Gruver and Eristus Sams of Waller to the Family Farm Advisory Council for terms extending to January 31, 1987. Irwin, 54, is president and chief executive officer of Gruver State Bank He is also a farmer and rancher. Sams, 66, is a farmer and mayor of Prairie View. He is secretary of the National Conference of Black Mayors, Inc. and State Director of the American Association of Small Cities. Irwin and Sams are being reappointed to the council.
