OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. January 31, 1980 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the following appointments: Leland D. Nelson of Dallas to the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Retirement System for a six-year term to expire December 31, 1980. Nelson, 53, is city manager of University Park. He will be filling the unexpired term of Sterling K. Miller of Lubbock, who is deceased. Ignacio Cisneros of Odessa to the Metric System Advisory Council for a two-year term to expire August 29, 1981. Cisneros, 47, is president and chairman of the board of Star/Adair Insulation, Inc. He will replace Tom E. Elliott of Lubbock, whose term expired. Mrs. Thomas B. Brennan of Houston to the Texas Board of Examiners in the Fitting and Dispensing of Hearing Aids for a six- year term to expire December 31, 1985. Mrs. Brennan, 49, will replace E.L. Hester of Hilltop Lakes City, whose term expired.
