August 1, 1979 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements today appointed Mrs. Jessica Harden of Houston to the Advisory Hospital Council for a six-year term to expire July 17, 1985. Mrs. Harden, 49, director of planning and development for St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Houston, succeeds Robert F. Gordon of San Angelo whose term expired. The Governor Wednesday also appointed Douglas 0. Brown, one of his top assistants, to the new State Aircraft Pooling Board for a two year term, extending September 1, 1979 to January 31, 1981. Other appointments announced Wednesday were Aubrey E. Fife of Junction and Edward E. Palmer of Copperas Cove to the State Board of Morticians. Fife, 56, and Palmer, 56, are mortuary owners. They succeed John Artero of Victoria and Jack Carswell of Houston for six-year terms extending to May 31, 1985.
