December 22, 1982 For Immediate Rel__se: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of Don Houseman of Dallas to the Board of Trustees for the Teacher Retirement System for a six-year term extending to August 31, 1987. Houseman, 59, is Chairman of the Board of Houseman Properties, Inc., an investment and development firm. He served as Chairman of the Governor's Task Force On State Asset Management and is a University Park City Councilman. He is former Senior Vice-President of Marsh & McLennan Insurance and attended The University of Texas. He will replace Roger B. Mize of Snyder, whose term expired. The Governor reappointed Clyde Thate of Burkett, ROSS Jones of Coleman, and A.D. Pettit of Santa Anna to the Central Colorado River Authority for six-year terms extending to January 1, 1989. The terms are effective January 1. mate, 69, is a rancher and sheep breeder. He is Past President of the American Rambouillet Sheep Breeders Association and has served on the Central Colorado River Authority for over 20 years. Jones, 47, is an attorney and member of the Board of Directors of the Coleman Bank. He attended Texas Tech University and received a law degree from The University of Texas. Pettit, 75, is a rancher and taught vocational agriculture for 40 years. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Santa Anna National Bank and received bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas A&M University.
