Clements, Jr. April 11, 1979 For Immediate Release: Governor Bill Clements left this morning to tour tornado-stricken areas in Wichita Falls and surrounding areas of North Texas. The Governor is expected to arrive in Wichita Falls about 9:15 a.m. at the Southern Airlines facility at Sheppard A.F.B. Governor Clements plans to survey the damage and confer with local officials. Ile expressed deep concern for the victims in the disaster area and pledged a full range of state assistance will be made available throughout the area without delay..
