• Bill &Rita will tour five Soviet Al v ag countries BY JIM DAVIS Harte-Hanks Austin Bureau AUSTIN—Gov. and Mrs. Bill Clements will lead a 37- person Texas delegation on an agriculture—oriented tour of five Soviet Cloc countries beginning next Saturday. The three-week trip is planned by People-to-people international, with par- ticipants paying their own expenses. Countries on the tour in- clude the Soviet Union, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland and Yugoslavia. Participants will visit food production and agricultural operations, such as collec- tive farms. People-to-People is a non- political, non-profit organization designed to foster contacts among persons of various countries. The late President Eisenhower initiated the 1131956. • • Most ',the tour ticipants are connected withit agriculture. They will meet and exchange information with their counterparts in the various countries. Jim Davis of the Harte- Hanks Austin Bureau will 1 report on the trip for several Texas newspapers, including The Greenville Herald Banner. Larry Stalcup, agriculture writer for the Amarillo Globe-Times News, is the only other news representative on the tour. •
