RECEIV SD JAN 8 AM. OFFICE OF GOVERNOR WILLIAM P. CLEMENTS, JR. January 4, 1980 For immediate release: Governor Bill Clements today announced the appointment of R. Wayne Hughes, Jr. of Granbury to be District Attorney of the 29th Judicial District, Erath, Palo Pinto and Hood Counties, until the next general election and until his successor shall be duly elected and qualified. Hughes, 36, is an attorney with Dixon, Neuville & Hughes law firm. He will replace Bob Glasgow of Stephenville, who resigned. Governor Clements also announced the appointment of Mrs. Omar (Dorothy) Harvey of Dallas to the Texas 1986 Sesquicentennial Commission. Mrs. Harvey, 56, will serve a two-year term to expire January 31, 1981.
